Weekend Auto-Close for Prop Firm Challenges

How PipsCrusher automatically closes positions before the weekend to prevent gap risk on your challenge account.

Weekend gaps — sudden price jumps when markets reopen on Monday — are one of the biggest risks for prop firm challenge accounts. A single bad gap can breach your drawdown limit overnight. PipsCrusher's weekend auto-close feature eliminates this risk entirely.

How It Works

Every Friday at 17:00 UTC (when forex markets close for the weekend), PipsCrusher automatically:

1.Cancels all pending trade intents — so no new positions are opened over the weekend 2. Sets a "weekend pause" flag — preventing the signal engine from generating new trade intents until Monday 3. Notifies you via Telegram — confirming that positions have been handled

The pause is lifted automatically when markets reopen.

When Is It Mandatory?

Weekend auto-close is enabled by default for all prop firm challenge enrollments. However:

If your firm does NOT allow weekend holding: Auto-close is locked ON and cannot be disabled
If your firm DOES allow weekend holding: You can optionally toggle it off from the Prop Firm page

You can check whether your firm allows weekend holding by looking at the challenge details when enrolling.

What About Open Positions?

The auto-close system handles pending trade intents (orders waiting to be sent to MT5). For positions already open on your MT5 account, the EA handles closures based on the challenge configuration. It's recommended to review any open positions manually before Friday close.

Can I Re-Enable It?

Yes. If you've disabled weekend auto-close (and your firm allows it), you can re-enable it at any time from Dashboard → Prop Firm → Weekend Auto-Close toggle.
